EFKey has no server, no accounts, and collects nothing about you. What you type is processed on your phone. The only things that ever leave it are the ones you switch on yourself — and this page says exactly what, where and when.
What never leaves your device
- Keystrokes and typed text. Correction, prediction and glide typing run on your phone from local files.
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers, no third-party SDKs.
- In password fields the keyboard switches to the system keyboard on its own.

Nothing passes through a server of mine, because I don't have one.
Downloading languages
Languages are downloaded — nothing is sent. When you enable a new language, the app fetches its pack from cdn.efkey.app, the same way your browser fetches an image. The server sees only what every web server sees: an IP address and which file was requested. No account, no identifier, nothing that can be tied back to you.
What is stored on your phone
Learned words, clipboard history, text shortcuts, My info and typing statistics. Anything sensitive — shortcuts you mark as sensitive and everything in My info — lives in the iOS Keychain; the rest sits in the app's own container. You can export or erase all of it in Settings.
iCloud sync
Off until you turn it on. It goes to your iCloud through Apple's CloudKit and the contents are stored in encrypted fields, so I cannot read them either. Turning sync off does not remove what is already in your iCloud — you delete that in your iCloud settings.
Dictation and the microphone
The microphone is used only while you dictate, and the recording happens in the EFKey app — the keyboard itself never opens the microphone. In On-device mode speech is transcribed by Apple's on-device engine and nothing leaves your phone. With your own API key, the recording is sent to the provider you chose for transcription. EFKey never stores the recording either way.
Your own API key
The key is kept in your phone's Keychain and is never sent to me. The relationship is between you and the provider you picked: their pricing and their privacy policy apply. EFKey does not resell anyone's AI and runs no cloud of its own.
Trial and purchase
No account and no card. The start of your trial is stored in the Keychain (so it can't be reset by reinstalling), and so is the discount flag for people who used EFKey while it was entirely free. Both stay on your device.
Full Access ("Allow Full Access")
Optional. The keyboard types at full strength without it; only the tools that reach outside the keyboard need it — GIF search, translation and AI edits, dictation and the clipboard tools. Typing, prediction and autocorrect work fully offline even without Full Access.
Children
EFKey collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.

EFKey nemá server, nemá účty a nezbiera o tebe nič. To, čo píšeš, sa spracúva v telefóne. Von ide len to, čo si sám zapneš — a na tejto stránke je presne napísané čo, kam a kedy.
Čo nikdy neopustí zariadenie
- Údery kláves a napísaný text. Oprava, predikcia aj písanie ťahom bežia v telefóne z lokálnych súborov.
- Žiadna analytika, žiadne sledovanie, žiadne reklamné identifikátory, žiadne SDK tretích strán.
- V poliach na heslo sa klávesnica sama prepne na systémovú.

Sťahovanie jazykov
Jazyky sa sťahujú, neodosiela sa pri tom nič. Keď si zapneš nový jazyk, appka si stiahne balíček z cdn.efkey.app — rovnako, ako keď prehliadač načíta obrázok. Server pritom vidí len to, čo vidí každý webový server: IP adresu a ktorý súbor si vypýtal. Žiadny účet, žiadny identifikátor, nič, čo by sa dalo priradiť k tebe.
Čo je uložené v telefóne
Naučené slová, história schránky, textové skratky, Moje údaje a štatistiky písania. Citlivé veci — skratky označené ako citlivé a všetko v Mojich údajoch — sú v Keychaine iOS, zvyšok v kontajneri appky. Všetko sa dá v Nastaveniach vyexportovať aj zmazať.
iCloud sync
Vypnutý, kým ho nezapneš. Ide do tvojho iCloudu cez Apple CloudKit a obsah je uložený v šifrovaných poliach, takže si ho neprečítam ani ja. Vypnutie syncu neodstráni to, čo už v tvojom iCloude je — to zmažeš v nastaveniach iCloudu.
Diktovanie a mikrofón
Mikrofón sa používa len počas diktovania a nahráva appka EFKey — samotná klávesnica mikrofón nikdy neotvára. V režime „v zariadení" prepis robí Apple engine priamo v telefóne a nič neodchádza von. S vlastným API kľúčom sa nahrávka odošle na prepis poskytovateľovi, ktorého si zvolil. EFKey nahrávku v žiadnom prípade neukladá.
Vlastný API kľúč
Kľúč je v Keychaine tvojho telefónu a mne sa neodosiela. Vzťah je medzi tebou a poskytovateľom, ktorého si zvolil: platí jeho cenník a jeho zásady súkromia. EFKey cudziu AI nepredáva a vlastný cloud neprevádzkuje.
Skúška a nákup
Bez účtu a bez karty. Začiatok skúšky je uložený v Keychaine (aby sa nedala resetovať preinštalovaním) a rovnako aj príznak zľavy pre tých, čo EFKey používali, kým bola celá zadarmo. Oboje ostáva v zariadení.
Úplný prístup („Allow Full Access")
Nepovinný. Klávesnica píše naplno aj bez neho; potrebujú ho len nástroje, ktoré siahajú mimo klávesnice — GIF vyhľadávanie, preklad a AI úpravy, diktovanie a nástroje schránky. Písanie, predikcia aj automatická oprava fungujú plne offline aj bez úplného prístupu.
Deti
EFKey nezbiera údaje od nikoho vrátane detí mladších ako 13 rokov.
