Two languages in a pair are corrected in the same sentence. Make as many pairs as you like from up to five languages and swipe the space bar to move between them. Languages with their own alphabet stay on their own.

Latin-script languages come in QWERTY, QWERTZ or AZERTY, set per language. Other scripts get the layout Apple uses for them. Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and Urdu run right to left.

Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam can also be typed in Latin letters: you type the sound and the script goes into the field. Chinese comes with Pinyin, Zhuyin and Cangjie, Japanese with kana or romaji, Korean with 2-set and 10-key. Korean gets suggestions only, without autocorrect or glide, for now.

English is built in. Every other language downloads in a few seconds as a small pack, is checked before it installs and keeps itself up to date.
